Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to start your career in accounting, focusing on foundational tasks and processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities: - Perform routine bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. - Assist with managing and organizing accounting documents and files for easy access and reference. - Support accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking. - Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as recording and monitoring incoming payments. - Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. - Assist with account reconciliations to verify and resolve discrepancies. - Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities. - Collaborate with team members to support various accounting functions as needed. - Participate in periodic audits and provide necessary documentation. - Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information at all times. Requirements - Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries. - Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Proficiency in performing bank and account reconciliations. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools. - Prior experience or coursework in accounting is preferred but not required.
