Assistant Project Manager Job Description The Assistant Project Manager - Electrical holds full responsibility for assigned electrical projects. This role involves estimating, cost control, forecasting, and scheduling of multiple projects through to their final completion. The Assistant Project Manager will act as the management's primary point of contact, coordinating the job team to ensure all project goals are met. Responsibilities + Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting. + Communicate with foremen regarding job expectations and goals. + Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. + Report and escalate to management as needed. + Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. + Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project. + Track project performance to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. + Estimate change orders for assigned projects. + Manage all job closeout procedures. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience in electrical project management within the Maryland, DC, Virginia market. + Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities. + Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. + Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Codes). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrical experience. + Experience with Procore. + Experience with RFI/Change Orders and submittals. + Experience in data center and commercial construction. + Project scheduling expertise. + LEED experience preferred. Work Environment This position will be based on-site at a Data Center in Ashburn, VA, with opportunities to assist on other commercial projects around Virginia. Required attire includes steel-toed boots, a reflective vest, a hard hat, and safety glasses.
