Cardiology, Heart Failure / Heart Transplant

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our staff.

The faculty practice consists of 15 cardiologists, 2 surgeons, and 18 advanced practice clinicians. The Bassett network includes over 500 employed practitioners.

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

This is a vibrant and sophisticated upstate community set in a bucolic lake front village affording four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. We have an unparalleled sport center walking distance from the hospital, which includes 3 swimming pools, rock climbing, racquetball and squash courts.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Provide clinical and consultative care within the hospital and office setting. From prevention and detection to surgery and rehabilitation, Bassett provides a full range of cardiovascular services testing including MRI, CT, echo and nuclear cardiology. To include:

• Academic appointment with Columbia University, and clinical affiliation with their advanced heart failure serviceOutpatient, Inpatient and Regional Patient Care
• Teaching of cardiology fellows, internal medicine residents, and Bassett-Columbia medical students
• Salary Range: $500,000 - $545,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
• Sign-on bonus up to $200,000

Job Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in ABIM Cardiovascular Disease
• New York State Licensure
• BLS & ACLS Certifications Required
• DEA Required
