Job Description

The Barker Lounge in Charleston, SC is looking for front desk manager(s) to join our strong team. Our ideal candidates are attentive, motivated, and engaged with previous front desk and customer service experience with another kennel or vet. Weekend shifts and holidays will be required. This person will also be required to train in group with the dogs until we think they are ready to handle the front desk duties. Starting pay is $16 per hour for this position with a raise to $18.50 following full training in both group and at the desk! Any pay increase will be discretionary based on performance. $500 RETENTION BONUS AFTER 6-MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT!

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer and screen phone calls
• Cash customers in and out and ensure transactions match payments
• Be comfortable with dogs and be able to handle animals, you will need to bring dogs out to customers
• Maintaining office cleanliness and organization of resources

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a front desk agent or similar position at kennel/vet
• Knowledge of square payment system
• Excellent customer service skills and courteous phone manner
• Time-management and organizational skills
• Must provide references
