Job Title: Investigative Reporter/Anchor - WFOX TV

Position Overview

WFOX TV Jacksonville is looking for an Investigative Reporter/Anchor who lives to expose wrongdoing, corruption, and hold the powerful accountable through unbiased reporting. This individual has a track record of producing impactful in-depth or investigative stories. They should also be hungry to use new technology to present stories and should be adept at using social media to gather and break stories. They will also engage with viewers on social media daily and create digital content daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle daily, mid-range and long-term investigations
• Work both independently and collaboratively
• Understands public records requests and can dig through databases to find the story
• Write news stories that are clear, accurate and unbiased
• Ability to narrate, ad-lib and add value to live breaking news and severe weather coverage.
• Ability to cover live events for all platforms, including live breaking news and station initiatives
• Thorough understanding of social media and demonstrated ability to move audience between all platforms.
• Curiosity that drives an understanding of current events
• Demonstrate consistently high proficiency with the necessary technical, writing, and presentation skills for television broadcasts.
• Strong writing and editorial skills required

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a Reporter required
• Experience as a Multimedia Journalist is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• B.A Degree in Journalism, Communications, or other discipline preferred
