Job Description

Description We are looking for a dedicated Trademark Legal Assistant to join a boutique law firm in Northern, VA. In this role, you will provide essential support for trademark-related tasks, ensuring accurate and timely management of filings and deadlines. This is a fully remote position but must be commutable to Alexandria, VA for occasional in office meetings. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and experience handling intellectual property matters. Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage trademark-related calendars to ensure all deadlines are met. - Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, and other necessary documents with the USPTO. - Conduct USPTO searches and assist with trademark prosecution processes. - Handle e-filing tasks efficiently and ensure compliance with procedural requirements. - Monitor and update the docketing system to track trademark applications and filings. - Support billing processes by preparing and maintaining accurate records. - Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to intellectual property matters. - Communicate with clients regarding trademark procedures and requirements. - Collaborate with attorneys to ensure smooth execution of trademark filing strategies. Requirements - Proven experience in trademark prosecution and intellectual property matters. - Proficiency in managing calendars and meeting deadlines. - Strong knowledge of USPTO filing systems and procedures. - Familiarity with docketing systems and e-filing processes. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to manage billing and maintain accurate financial records. - Effective communication skills for client and team interactions. - Prior experience in a legal assistant role or similar position.
